What's in a number? A whole lot.

Customers can now get information about every stop location throughout the SEPTA bus and trolley system from a new website tool called Stop ID. This is an easy reference for the more than 18,000 stop locations found throughout SEPTA's five county service region.

The Stop ID is a unique number (anywhere from 1 to 5 numbers), assigned to a specific stop location along a route. You can use this number to request schedule information via our SMS Transit Schedule feature. Simply choose the route and direction of travel and the results will show you every stop, and all of the unique Stop ID numbers.

These Stop ID numbers will begin to appear on new bus stop signs in the next several months. In the near future, this system of unique reference points will also be incorporated into new web applications and the Customer Service Call Center telephone system, and will provide an easy location reference for schedule information or to report a concern.
